✓ Privacy-First Design: Cosmic Readings does not use any external AI APIs. All horoscope readings, birth chart interpretations, and compatibility analyses are generated entirely on-device using pre-written astrological content. We do not send your personal information to any third-party servers for content generation.

1. Introduction

Kitabasoft (“we”, “us”, “our”) built the Cosmic Readings app as a free, ad-supported entertainment application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using Cosmic Readings, you agree to this policy. If you disagree, please uninstall the application.

2. How Our App Works

No AI API Calls: Unlike many astrology apps, Cosmic Readings generates all content locally using pre-written astrological interpretations. Your birth date, name, and birth city are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party content service.

3. Information We Collect

Information You Enter (Stays On Your Device)

  • Name — optional, used only for personalizing on-screen display
  • Date of birth — used to calculate your zodiac sign and birth chart locally
  • Time of birth — optional, used for rising sign calculation on-device
  • City of birth — optional, displayed for context only

This information is entered by you, processed entirely on your device, and is never transmitted to our servers.

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device model and operating system version (via Google AdMob)
  • Advertising ID / Google GAID (via Google AdMob, for ad personalization)
  • Approximate location at region/country level (via AdMob, derived from IP)
  • App usage patterns — which features are used, session duration
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics

4. How We Use Information

  • To display advertisements through Google AdMob
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs
  • To understand how users interact with app features
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your personal information for content generation, server-side processing, or any purpose beyond what is described here.

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID and device information. To opt out of personalized advertising on Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

6. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or store: precise location, contacts, photos, financial information, health data, messages, or any personal content you enter into the app. All astrological readings are generated locally on your device.

7. Data Retention

We do not maintain a user database. Personal information you enter (name, birth date, etc.) is never transmitted to our servers and therefore cannot be retained by us.

Advertising and analytics data collected by Google AdMob is retained by Google per their policies (typically up to 26 months).

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

Data is shared only with Google AdMob and our hosting provider (Cloudflare/Vercel) as described above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service.

9. Children’s Privacy

Cosmic Readings is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us at privacy@kitabasoft.com.

10. Your Rights

  • Access: Request what data we hold about you
  • Deletion: Since we hold no personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete
  • Ad opt-out: Opt out of personalized ads via device settings
  • Complaints: Contact your local data protection authority

11. Security

All web traffic uses HTTPS encryption. Since personal data is processed entirely on-device and not transmitted to external servers, the privacy risk of using Cosmic Readings is minimal.
